How many servings are there in a cake? What size should I order?

cake sizeWe know that when choosing a personalised cake, questions can arise: how many people will eat, what size do I need, how much does each portion weigh?
At Rosy Cakes we want to help you choose the ideal option for your celebration and avoid misunderstandings about the size or number of portions.

Our sizes are calculated on the basis of a standard portion of approximately 100 grams per personwhich is common at parties and events when there are other sweets or meals. If the cake is the only dessert or you want more generous portions, we recommend you to consider 120 to 150 grams per person.

The majority of our cakes have a height of 10 cmThis allows for generous and elegant portions. We can also make taller cakes if you want a special design or if you need more portions without increasing the diameter.

  • 12 cm diameter - Mini - 2 to 4 portions
  • 14 cm diameter - Small - 6 to 8 portions
  • 15-16 cm in diameter - Pre-medium - 10 to 12 portions
  • 20 cm in diameter - Medium - 15 to 20 portions
  • 20-25 cm diameter - Large - 25 to 30 portions

All of our cakes have a standard height of 10 cmThis allows for elegant and well-served portions. We can also make taller cakes on request.


✂️ How do we cut the cakes?

Round moulds

Make a circular cut 5 cm from the outer edge, remove this section in portions and repeat the process towards the centre. Depending on the size, 2 to 6 concentric rings are obtained.

Square moulds

Start with a cut 5 cm from the edge and then divide into portions of approximately 2 cm. Repeat until you have all the portions.
